2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR near Fayetteville, NC

2025 CVO Road Glide RR in Screamin’ Eagle livery leaned mid-corner with full racing gear and rider.

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR represents the most advanced combination of engineering, materials, and race-inspired design ever offered in a Harley-Davidson® production motorcycle. This model is directly influenced by the Factory Race Team’s competition bikes and incorporates features that have been tested and proven under racing conditions. Limited in production, each motorcycle includes a serialized riser clamp, ensuring its position as one of the rarest Harley-Davidson® models to reach the street. Designed with aerospace-grade materials such as titanium, carbon fiber, and billet aluminum, the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is defined by its technical specifications and mechanical precision.

Milwaukee-Eight® 131 Powertrain

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is powered by the Screamin’ Eagle® 131 Milwaukee-Eight® V-Twin, the most powerful engine ever factory-installed in a Harley-Davidson®. This Stage IV unit produces 153 horsepower and 150 ft-lb of torque, pushing to a 6,500 RPM redline. The powertrain includes CNC-ported heads that increase airflow efficiency, Screamin’ Eagle® high-strength internal components, and the SE8-550 camshaft, which ensures performance across the power band. This engine specification matches that of the Harley-Davidson® Factory Race Team’s Road Glide® machines, marking it as a direct extension of racing technology.

Six-Speed Racing Transmission

To complement the power output, the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR uses the Screamin’ Eagle® Racing King 6 transmission. This transmission is designed to manage high-performance riding demands. Shot-peened gears and shafts increase strength while back-cut shift dogs ensure every shift locks securely, even under aggressive acceleration or deceleration. This gearbox was built for durability and efficiency in racing environments, making it one of the most robust factory-installed systems available in a production motorcycle.

High-Performance Intake and Air Management

The intake system was developed to support the high output of the Screamin’ Eagle® 131 engine. It uses a 68mm throttle body that allows increased airflow, supported by a CNC-machined aluminum intake manifold. The design reduces weight and improves throttle response. A washable Screamin’ Eagle® High Flow air filter is incorporated, providing a deep intake rumble while ensuring smooth and consistent airflow to the combustion chamber.

Titanium Exhaust System

The exhaust system is a co-developed component between Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing and Akrapovič. Constructed entirely of titanium with carbon fiber heat shields, this 2-into-1 design is engineered to maximize power output while reducing overall weight by more than 10 pounds compared to the standard Milwaukee-Eight® exhaust system. The exhaust rumble is more aggressive, and the design maintains compliance with all 50-state emissions standards, proving that race-level engineering can coexist with street-legal requirements.

Race-Spec Suspension

Handling characteristics are supported by a full race-spec Öhlins suspension system. At the front, 43mm Öhlins FGR inverted forks provide precision handling and increased feedback. At the rear, dual Screamin’ Eagle® Öhlins remote reservoir shocks deliver improved control and allow full adjustability for tuning suspension to rider preference. The ride height is increased by two inches, allowing greater lean angles and better cornering performance.

Lightweight Chassis Components

Weight reduction plays a significant role in the performance of the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR. The billet aluminum swingarm is a notable example, engineered from a 220-pound block of 6061 aluminum and reduced to just 18 pounds during manufacturing. This change reduces unsprung weight and improves suspension response. Additional billet aluminum mid foot controls replace traditional footboards, increasing lean angles and improving efficiency during braking and shifting. Cast aluminum wheels complete the lightweight design, minimizing mass while maintaining durability.

Braking Systems Designed for Racing Demands

The braking system is built to match the engine output and cornering agility. The front system uses nickel-plated Brembo® GP4-RX CNC calipers with four 32mm pistons, paired with 320mm Brembo® T-Drive rotors. These components are derived from MotoGP technology and provide exceptional stopping power. At the rear, a four-piston Brembo® caliper with a 300mm rotor complements the front setup.

Rider Ergonomics and Functional Design

The solo seat, developed with Saddlemen®, incorporates a raised pommel and bolster to keep the rider stable during acceleration and braking. Constructed with carbon fiber, the seat contributes to weight reduction while providing ergonomic support. The mid controls, positioned for competition-style riding, allow greater control at higher speeds.

Exterior and Aerodynamic Styling

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR reflects its performance orientation through functional design. Exposed carbon fiber bodywork, finished in Harley-Davidson® Racing Orange with black and white accents, highlights its racing inspiration. The gloss black cast aluminum wheels include a laser-etched CVO™ RR logo to reinforce its identity. LED lighting is integrated seamlessly to improve visibility while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. Each model carries a serialized riser clamp that distinguishes it as part of a limited production run.

Electronic Ride Modes

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR includes nine selectable ride modes. Among them are Track Mode and Track Plus Mode, developed in collaboration with Factory Racing rider Kyle Wyman. Track Mode optimizes throttle response, braking, and traction control for performance on a closed course, while Track Plus reduces electronic intervention for advanced riders seeking maximum control. The other selectable modes allow fine adjustment of engine braking, ABS, and traction control for various conditions, providing flexibility in different riding environments.

Infotainment and Instrumentation

The 12.3-inch Skyline™ OS touchscreen is the most advanced display offered on a Harley-Davidson®. It delivers a clear, intuitive interface with wireless Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth® connectivity, and embedded navigation. Over-the-air updates ensure the system remains current with the latest software. The Rockford Fosgate® Stage III audio system integrates directly into the fairing and delivers 500 watts of output through 6.5-inch three-way speakers, providing sound quality engineered to remain clear at highway speeds.

Rider Safety Enhancements

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR integrates most advanced safety systems. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is standard, supported by Electronic Linked Braking (ELB), which distributes braking effort between the front and rear wheels. Traction Control (TCS) limits rear wheel spin under acceleration, while Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) prevents lockup during abrupt downshifts or throttle roll-off. Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) secures the motorcycle on inclines until the rider engages the throttle.

Additional cornering-enhanced systems expand safety under lean conditions. Cornering ABS (C-ABS) and Cornering ELB (C-ELB) adjust brake pressure during cornering. Cornering TCS (C-TCS) and Cornering DSCS (C-DSCS) maintain stability by controlling wheel slip while leaned. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) adds another layer of performance management, ensuring proper tire inflation for both handling and longevity.
